Do's and Dont's

So Dua Lipa has released her song “New Rules” which I think addresses the current dating scene down to a tee!

In light of her rules a bunch of us girls have always tried to stick to some particular rules. Yeh ok we might have not sometimes but that’s only left us worse off than we started so here’s back to following the rules.

We have worked out by now that you boys / men are definitely, definitely not mind readers, this post isn’t to criticise it’s a god honest truth of the minimum requirements us girls like to see:

· Do not be 30+ and still be living a box room at your mums. Yes I understand its difficult with the current housing market to get a nice plush pad but seriously it’s not a good look when you take a girl back to your mums house!

· Never ever, and I mean it never ever – ask to borrow money from the girl you're dating

· This one makes me laugh but you would be surprised girls seriously! Don’t be dating a man who still has a Pay as you go phone. If you cant ask them out right then look out for the signs – Being drop called, or when they do call you if they say “can you call me back” its normally a sign that they are running out of credit

· Have a nice pair of shoes – We really do look at your shoes if you only have a battered pair of Primani’s we will notice this.

· Wear a nice after shave – deodorant is a must not even going into that one, if you smell good it will start ticking some boxes, and it helps that when we smell that after shave again we will be reminded of you – note to the guys on that one.

· Take a girl out for a bit of grub and a drink! Seriously guys – they say you get to a man’s heart through his stomach. Well the same applies to us

· Don’t call a us “mate” it’s just a massive turn off – if you can’t remember our name just say, if not just call us babe definitely not “mate”

· If you involved with anything illegal – distribution, dealing, drive around at night thinking you’re a gangster with your corsa with the stupidly big exhaust etc I can guarantee most of us (95%) of us do not wanna deal with you!

· You have to have a nice vehicle – don’t be coming to pick us up in a banged out Peugeot van with one of the windows missing (naming no names on that one LEP)

There you go – its not rocket science. But let’s be straight about this one…. Most girls are not gold diggers. If a girl has her own place, nice car and a career be happy for her and embrace it with her don’t be a ponce!
